FLY FISHING FOR TROUT NOW OPEN Fly fishing is now available on the southern half of the Damsel Lake. The first stock of rainbows averaging 1lb 12oz were added on Wednesday 5 October. Further fish were added on Wed 12 October with some slightly larger fish to 5lb, along with more stockies. The lake has been divided by a net between the narrowest section of the lake allowing coarse and carp fishing to the north and fly fishing to the south. This should help ensure that the stock levels of trout per acre are kept at a high level. The new 3 acre lake is starting to move in the right direction. With luck we should have everything in place for next Autumn! The afternoon ticket available after 1pm is 2 fish plus catch and release at £18.00 (£16.50 Concessions) A beginners ticket for 1 fish with NO catch and release is £12.00 LOYALTY CARD: After nine stamped 3 fish visits receive £15 off your next 3 fish ticket. |
