Manor Farm Fishing Lake Rules






 Rules Which Apply To All Lakes

1. Barbless hooks only

2. Maximum 2 rods

3. Unhooking mat required

4. Dip all nets before fishing

5. No keepnets, except in authorised matches or on the Canal

6. All fish caught MUST be returned to the lake they were caught from. Under no circumstances must fish be killed or moved to other lakes.

7. No unauthorised vehicles around the lakes. Disabled blue badge holders only with prior permission. No cars including disabled around the Blunham Lake due to lack of access.

8. Cars must only be parked in car parks

9. Under 14’s must be accompanied by an adult at all times

10. Under 18’s can night fish when accompanied by an adult

11. Under 8's must be accompanied by a non-fishing adult or fish from the same swim as the accompanying adult. They must not wander off unsupervised.

12. E A Rod Licence required

13. Strictly no guns

14. No wading or swimming in the lakes under any circumstances.

15. We accept no responsibility for any damage or loss to equipment or vehicles which may occur whilst at Manor Farm.

16. The fishery is a natural environment which we do our best to maintain, as such we accept no responsibility for any personal accident which may occur as a result of being on site at Manor Farm. Trips, slips and other such incidents can and do occur and are generally beyond our control. Please report any incidents to the Tackle Barn in order for them to be recorded. Minors require constant supervision by a non-fishing adult.

17. No dogs, even on leads. Sorry.

18. No Litter, bins are provided in the car parks.

Specimen Lakes: Carp, Becks & Winters

 

Specific Rules

Blunham, Canal and Damsel

1. Barbless hooks only, maximum size 6

2. Maximum 2 rods

3. No mainline braid

4. Unhooking mat required & min 36" landing net

5. Dip all nets before fishing

6.No peanuts, tiger nuts or trout pellets

7. No keepnets

8. All fish caught MUST be returned to the lake they were caught from. Under no circumstances must fish be killed or moved to other lakes.

9. No unauthorised vehicles around the lakes. Disabled blue badge holders only with prior permission.

 

NB: Damsel is only open for coarse fishing between 1 Jun and 30 Sept

Unfortunately the Blunham Lake is not suited to disabled anglers who need to take their cars around the lake as the surrounding area of this lake is too narrow to safely manoeuvre cars without damaging rods / poles or turn cars on. This is a health & safety measure.

Matches: Landing net heads and 2 keepnets are provided for all organised matches on the Canal at the Tackle Barn
