After one of the first really cold nights so far this year we arrived to a very white and crisp Becks Lake but lucky for us not frozen over. This was the first of our Silver fish matches for the year and we were hoping for better weather, but hey we are in the middle of December!
The draw took place at 8.30am with each fisherman pulling a peg and heading out onto the Becks Lake, despite the frost the day was fresh and bright. With fishing under way, it was clear to see that there were plenty of silver fish to be caught, with each fisherman commenting on the amount of bites they had. They were sure that the cold night and frost had affected the fishing, with all of them having caught one in around every 6 bites. The day went well with with plenty of fish being seen and plenty being lost! All the fishermen had a very enjoyable day and have booked for the next match wanting to try new tactics to turn those "oh so many bites!" into fish in the bag.
