MONTHLY REPORT: (updated 2nd August 2005)

THE BECKS MIXED LAKE
Some excellent fishing at present for mid-range carp from 9-18lb. Tony Savory landed 8 fish only on Monday off the top on floating pellet. A 28lb 12oz record for the lake was caught 2 weeks ago to sweetcorn fished around the margin. Tench are also coming out well up to 6lb on ledger fished sweetcorn.

Prices for pike fishing are £15 for upto 3 rods. NO LIVEBAITING.

Night fishing is available on this lake but must be booked in advance on 01767 317835 (leave a message).

THE BLUNHAM MIXED PLEASURE LAKE
Plenty of carp between 5 and 14lb are being caught off the surface as well as using pellet hook-bait. Roach are being caught on float fished maggot, but you need to vary your bait to get through the smaller ones. Tench as well are being landed to 8lb on ledger fished worm and sweetcorn.

Night fishing is no longer available on this lake.

MIXED MATCH CANAL:
This new canal is available for pleasure angling when no matches are booked, just check in the Bait Hut. This lake is excellent for youngsters who need to be kept busy all day long, you can't fail to catch here! Best bait maggots, sweetcorn or pellet.
