IMPORTANT NOTICE, 25 July 2014:
Due to the recent high temperatures and continued hot weather for the forseeable future, we have decided to BAN SPODDING on ALL lakes with immediate effect. We would also like to see a reduction in all loose bait and particle added to the lakes including use of bait boats.
Excessive baits going into the lakes when the water temperatures are high, result in further deoxygenation of the water and DOES NOT increase catches. We hope all you serious anglers understand the situation and apprecaite that we must put the fish first. For those of you who do not like it, I suggest you fish elsewhere in the meantime!
Zig rigs, margin fishing close in, fishing solid bags and surface fishing are all better methods to good ensure catches.
This is purely a precautionary measure to ensure fish stocks and catch rates are maintained.
